Within a two-month period, mammography clinics in Switzerland, Austria and New Zealand have selected digital mammography systems from the IT and medical-technology company Sectra. During this period, Sectra has also sold mammography systems to additional customers in Sweden and Germany. These sales of Sectra MicroDose Mammography have generated orders valued at approximately EUR 3 million.

“The transition from film-based to digital mammography is in full progress around the world. We provide customers with systems that promote the development of safe, ergonomic and efficient digital mammography screening. Accordingly, we are well positioned to take advantage of this growing market,” says Jesper Söderqvist, President of Sectra Mamea AB. Sectra provides a complete digital mammography system enabling breast screening with the lowest radiation dose on the international market. This means safe examinations for the women being examined. The system has also been installed in Germany, Sweden, Ireland, the UK and Australia. In the US, FDA (Food and Drug Administration) trials are in process. Sectra MicroDose Mammography will be shown at the European Congress of Radiology in Vienna, March 3-6, 2006. Meet Sectra at Expo D/Lower level - Booth #412.
