Sectra becomes joint owner of Dutch distributor of medical imaging products

The Swedish IT and medical technology company Sectra has acquired 20% of ImaXperts BV, a Dutch distributor of medical imaging products specialized in digital solutions. ImaXperts will distribute Sectra’s medical systems in the BeNeLux market.

“This strategic cooperation strengthens our position in the BeNeLux market for medical systems. ImaXperts is a well-respected distributor and together we have an excellent platform for successful business,” says Torbjörn Kronander, President of Sectra Imtec AB. ImaXperts will sell, install and service Sectra’s medical products, which include Sectra MicroDose Mammography, Sectra PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and orthopedic imaging solutions and services. “Our shared goal is to become a leading supplier of medical imaging systems and digital mammography in Benelux,” says Peter Osinga, Managing Director of ImaXperts BV. “Through our partnership with Sectra, we can provide our customers with cutting-edge, safe and clinically proven medical imaging solutions that are used by many hundreds of healthcare institutions around the world”, adds Wim Schuur, Managing Director of ImaXperts BV. The acquisition has no material effect on Sectra’s earnings and financial position. About ImaXperts ImaXperts BV is a Dutch company that concentrates on selling, installing and servicing medical imaging solutions and digital mammography solutions. The company was founded in 1999 and is active in the BeNeLux market. ImaXperts has 14 employees and the company’s revenue for the 2004 fiscal year totaled EUR 2.5 million.
