Sectra receives PACS order for chain of hospitals The county of Värmland in Sweden has signed an agreement with Sectra Imtec AB for a PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) worth 25 MSEK (approx $3M US). The new agreement means that all county hospitals will be film-free based on Sectra PACS. The county holds 5 hospitals and 3 satellite clinics. "It's the excellent experiences of Sectra PACS at our hospital in Karlstad that has lead us to choose investing in PACS for all county hospitals," says Dr Claes Kilander at the county of Värmland. "Old customers coming back to us like Värmland is a living proof that our products provide the best customer satisfaction on the market. Sectra currently holds around 50% of the Scandinavian PACS market. This order in combination with strong sales on the North American market consolidates Sectra's position as one of the major PACS providers in the world, " says Sectra Imtec's Managing Director Dr Torbjörn Kronander.
