Sectra sells digital image system to University Hospital in Malmö The Swedish IT- and medical technology company Sectra has received an order from the University Hospital in Malmö (MAS) for Sectra PACS, a system used for processing of X-ray images. The system, which comprises workstations and picture archives, will be placed in service in 2001. The order is valued at SEK 6.2 million (approx $ 0.7million US). "This order is a first step in the planned investments in the digitalization of our new Diagnostic Centre that is being projected and which is expected to be completed within three years," says Docent Ingvar Andersson, operations manager at the hospital. "We selected Sectra because it has a number of installations in Sweden and the experience in those cases is very favorable. In addition, we found Sectra's workstations to be the most user-friendly, which is very important to us."
