Tiger XS protecting Dutch secrets: All Dutch authorities recommended to use encryption device from Sectra

The Dutch security authority, the National Communications and Security Agency (NLNCSA), has approved Sectra’s encryption device, Tiger XS, for secure communications. Consequently, the Netherlands becomes the first country recommending all government authorities to use Sectra’s Tiger products.

After carrying out an extensive technical evaluation of Tiger XS, the Dutch security authority has now issued a security approval for Tiger XS, and has also sent out this approval to its user groups to allow the use of the encryption device for the exchange of all classified information. Tiger XS is considered to be the best to meet requirements for security, user-friendliness and cost efficiency. Tiger XS well adapted for various communication environments Since 2005 Sectra has framework agreements established with the Netherlands Defense Department and other government agencies for delivery of encryption products for secure mobile and fixed communications. Development of Tiger XS has been carried out in close co-operation with the Dutch authorities, which has resulted in a product well-suited for the varying needs of different users. The communication solution is designed for a broad group and is used by civil servants in the office for secure fixed communications as well as by liaison officers for mobile communications in the field. “Sectra is well-established with Dutch government agencies and defense departments, but this security approval will allow us to sell the Tiger XS to a wider Dutch government market,” says Jeroen de Muijnck Country Manager Sectra Communications B.V. Tiger XS meets the very strictest security requirements Tiger XS, Sectra’s new generation of Tiger products, makes it easier to exchange sensitive information, regardless of whether it is communicated from a mobile phone, desktop phone, conference phone or a computer. Sectra’s Tiger products have been developed in close cooperation with Swedish, Norwegian and Dutch defense departments and government customers. These products meet the very strictest security requirements and have been approved by several national security and accreditation bodies in Europe and NATO. Sectra is also one of the first companies to offer encryption products developed in line with the new EU security requirements.
