Sectra’s Tiger system for eavesdrop-secure telephone conversations has been certified by NATO’s military committee for communications up to and including the high security level NATO SECRET. Last year, the same system was certified by the EU. Consequently, Tiger now has dual security approvals which give Sectra a unique position in the European market.

“The security approval is unique and will simplify daily work for our European customers with NATO membership. Decision-makers with EU and NATO membership are now able to use our Tiger system to eavesdrop-secure all telephone calls,” says Jan-Olof Brüer, President and CEO of Sectra.

Last year, the Council of the European Union approved Sectra’s Tiger XS for communication of EU-classified information. Sectra is still the only company to offer a system that protects both fixed and mobile telecommunications up to and including the high security level SECRET UE.

Tiger protects European telephone conversations
Tiger products protect telephone calls for decision-makers, officials and military staff in more than half of the EU’s 27 member states. Protecting telephone conversations is the main function of the Tiger XS but it is also used to secure fax and data transfers. The possibilities to choose network are numerous. Telephone calls can be protected over ordinary telephone lines, GSM, ISDN and IP networks as well as via satellite systems.
