Semcon has signed a new framework agreement with the Danish energy company DONG Energy. The agreement covers consultancy services for DONG Energy’s German Offshore Wind Power business activities.

DONG Energy is a world leader in Offshore Wind Power and intends on quadrupling capacity from 2012 to 2020, which would provide green energy to a total of 16 million Europeans. The agreement between DONG Energy and Semcon focuses on supporting construction, commissioning and operations of offshore wind farms in Germany.

“Our expertise from various industries will join together in providing an exciting approach to this assignment. We will be helping with project and quality management gained from the auto industry, along with experienced consultants from the offshore and energy sectors,” says Markus Granlund, Semcon’s President and CEO.
