Italian styling at its automotive finest is in abundance at the Silverstone Classic Sale with a stunning collection of six Ferraris available for auction.

The sale promises a Ferrari for nearly all tastes and budgets, ranging from convertibles to saloons, most in the famous Ferrari red and others in similarly striking paintwork, some right-hand and others left-hand drive models.

One key lot is a 1978 Ferrari 512BB, currently the property of a world famous distinguished sportsman, estimated at between £65,000 to £75,000. It is one of only 929 right-hand drive models of its type produced by the car maker and an extensive history file provides a comprehensive record of the £90,000 spent on service and maintenance expenditure over the 49,000 miles it has covered.

Other examples catching the eye include a 1995 Ferrari F355 Challenge, estimated at £28,000 to £32,000, and showing just 17,353 kilometres from new. There is also a 1992 Ferrari 348 TB, estimated at between £20,000 to £25,000, with even less mileage at just 6,104 kilometres.

Top down motoring doesn’t get much better than in a 1986 Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet, and this one is estimated at between £14,000 to £18,000.

Track action comes in the form of two extraordinary race cars. A 2008 F430 GT3 model, estimated at £65,000 to £75,000, which is eligible for all the desirable European and national GT series and has been professionally prepared by respected marque specialists “M-Tech” Motorsport.

The other is a 2003 360 Challenge race car, estimated at between £45,000 to £55,000, which can be entered into a variety of modern sports car championships, such as the Ferrari Open, Britcar, GT Cup and numerous European championships.

Nick Whale, managing director, Silverstone Auctions, said: “Our Classic Sale promises a feast of Ferraris, which will sit alongside a fine array of other Italian models we have including Lamborghinis and Maseratis.”

Other items on offer at the Classic Sale include classic cars, motorbikes, historic race cars and a wide variety of automobilia.

“Our Ferrari portfolio is a fair reflection of our entire range, with a good mix of competition and road cars, making The Silverstone Classic Sale one of this year’s must attend auctions,” added Nick.
