Porsche leads the grid at Silverstone Auctions’ Spring Sale

A stunning Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Touring was one of the highlights at Silverstone Auctions’ recent Spring Sale when it sold for more than £200,000. This 1973 model had been the recent recipient of a total restoration by leading RS specialist Marc De Siebenthal of Switzerland, no doubt adding to its appeal. The car eventually sold for £204,600, well above its pre-sale estimate. Other notable successes on 16th May, where many of the cars sold achieved higher than expected figures, included a left hand drive 1999 Ferrari 456M GT for £36,520, more than £10,000 above its pre-sale
