Negative third quarter for Simtronics

Simtronics ASA, the Norwegian fire and gas safety company, today posted its third quarter 2010 results. The Company saw a drop in sales and had negative earnings, however the order intake exceed sales in the quarter.Postponed sales for Simtronics products and financial challenges marked the third quarter for the Company. Simtronics posted sales of NOK 64.6 million in the third quarter. This is a 17 per cent decline from last year’s third quarter. FRAME AGREEMENT AND ORDER IN HAND – SIMTRONICS TO DELIVER INERGEN FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEMS

Simtronics ASA has through its subsidiary Fire Eater A/S (NUF Stavanger) entered a frame agreement with Tine AS. The frame agreement covers the supply of INERGEN systems for the protection of Tine production and warehouse facilities. The frame agreement covers Tine facilities in Norway and the initial duration is from this date and through 2011.Within the frame agreement the first specific order for INERGEN components and installation has been signed for Tine’s new dairy facility in Jæren. SIGNS OF RECOVERY FOR SIMTRONICS

Simtronics ASA, the Norwegian fire and gas safety company, today posted its first quarter 2010 results. The company has started to recover from the difficulties in the second half of last year, but is still facing a challenging market. “In the first quarter we saw what we believe is the beginning of better times. POINT INFRARED GAS DETECTOR HAS OBTAINED APPROVAL FOR USE IN THE US MINING INDUSTRY

The mining version of the point infrared gas detector GD10P has now been MSHA (Mining Safety and Health Agency) approved for use in the US mining industry. GD10PM already hold approvals for Europe and South Africa. GD10PM will be used directly on mining machinery, and is the only IR gas detector approved for this usage, due the immunity to vibration of the semiconductor infrared light source used by GD10PM. CHALLENGING FOURTH QUARTER FOR SIMTRONICS

Simtronics ASA, the Norwegian fire and gas safety company, today posted its fourth quarter and full year 2009 results. The Company experienced a challenging market and had to book significant restructuring costs. For the full year Simtronics posted a loss of NOK 43.4 million. “In the fourth quarter our customers have postponed a number of projects. In addition, the ship building industry is still in a crisis.
