Annual General Meeting in Skandia
Skandia's Annual General Meeting At Skandia's Annual General Meeting today, Mr Bengt Braun and Mr Lars-Eric Petersson were re-elected to the Board for terms extending until the 2001 Annual General Meeting. Rector Boel Flodgren (re-election) and Mr Melker Schörling (new election) were elected as policy holder representatives by the National Swedish Board for Consumer Policies and the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, respectively. Mr Sven Söderberg and Mr Kurth Augustsson, who previously served as elected directors, resigned at this year's Annual General Meeting. In addition, Mr Lennart Hagelin (previous policyholders' representative) left the Board. After the Annual General Meeting, Skandia's board thus consists of the following members: Lars Ramqvist (Chairman), Bengt Braun (Vice Chairman), Pirkko Alitalo, Boel Flodgren, Johan Fr. Odfjell, Lars-Eric Petersson, (President and CEO), and Melker Schörling, plus the employees' representatives Ingolf Lundin and Siw Nyberg. At today's Annual General Meeting, Hans Karlsson, Authorized Public Accountant at KPMG, was re-elected and Jan Birgerson, Authorized Public Accountant at Ernst & Young, was elected, for terms extending until the 2000 Annual General Meeting. Björn Fernström, Authorized Public Accountant at Ernst & Young, resigned at the Annual General Meeting Dividend, etc. The Annual General Meeting approved the shareholder dividend of SEK 0.90 (0.75) per share, or a total of MSEK 461, and the record date of 13 April 1999. Dividends are thus expected to be sent from the Swedish Securities Register Centre (VPC) on 20 April 1999.
