    Press release 20070928In the process regarding the compulsory purchase of shares in Skandia, the arbitral tribunal has decided to give Old Mutual advance access to the Skandia shares held by minority shareholders.     Higher market shares for Skandia in Sweden

    The Swedish Insurance Federation today published the industry's quarterly statistics for the first quarter of 2006. Market shares are expressed in terms of new business* and written premium. Moving twelve-month basis Skandia's market position in the overall life assurance market increased for the fourth consecutive quarter. Skandia has thereby strengthened its position as the largest player in the Swedish life market with respect to newly written business.     Election of directors At Skandia's Annual General Meeting on 27 April 2006, all general meeting-elected directors were re-elected for terms extending through the 2007 Annual General Meeting. The members of the Board are thus: Jim Sutcliffe, Björn Björnsson, Norman Broadhurst, Michael Newman, Lars Otterbeck and Julian Roberts, plus three employee representatives. In addition, the Annual General Meeting resolved to elect Jim Sutcliffe as Chairman of the Board.     Skandia to be delisted from Stockholm Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange

    On 23 March 2006 it was announced that Skandia's board decided to apply for a delisting of Skandia's shares from the Stockholm Stock Exchange (primary listing) and the London Stock Exchange (secondary listing).     Skandia's board to apply for delisting of Skandia's shares

    On 22 March 2006 it was announced that Old Mutual had received further acceptances up to the close of its public offer for Skandia, which brings the aggregate interest of Old Mutual to 98.73% of the shares outstanding in Skandia. Settlement of valid acceptances received between 9 February 2006 and 14 March 2006 will take place on 24 March 2006. This means that Skandia will no longer meet the Stockholm Stock Exchange's requirement for spread of ownership.     Continued sales growth for Skandia[1]

    New sales, premiums and deposits during fourth quarter of 2005Skandia showed continued strong growth during the fourth quarter of 2005 compared with the same quarter a year earlier. Total premiums and deposits increased during the fourth quarter to SEK 35.3 billion, compared with SEK 25.2 billion during the fourth quarter of 2004. The increase corresponds to 40% in Swedish kronor and 31% in local currency.     Changed composition of Skandia's Nominating Committee

    As a result of Old Mutual's offer for Skandia now being declared unconditional, the composition of Skandia's Nominating Committee has changed.
