Sales up 70 per cent

Sales up 70 per cent Skandia's sales for the period January-July 2000 amounted to SEK 125.3 billion (73.9). Sales of unit linked assurance increased to SEK 87.4 billion (51.0), while sales of mutual fund savings products increased to SEK 35.9 billion (20.2). In the USA, sales during the period increased to SEK 8.6 billion (5.6), broken down into variable annuities (unit linked assurance), USD 5.7 billion (3.9), and mutual funds, USD 2.9 billion (1.7). In the UK, sales amounted to GBP 2.4 billion (1.2). Sales in Sweden were SEK 6.6 billion (3.4). In both of these markets, sales are already higher than for the full year 1999. Sales for unit linked assurance and mutual fund savings products in new markets amounted to SEK 9.0 billion (6.2). Sales for the year through August will be presented on 11 September 2000.
