Skandia Investment new major owner in Connecta Skandia Investment increased its stake in the consulting company Connecta to 23.8 per cent on 5 January 1999. Skandia Investment makes long-term investments in rapidly growing, unlisted companies with an eye on a stock market listing. The investors in Skandia Investment are Skandia Insurance Company Ltd., Skandia Life Insurance Company Ltd., the National Swedish Insurance Pension Fund (4th Board), Handelsbanken Life, Ica Finans and Orkla. "Connecta is an exciting consulting firm with impressive growth. Therefore I believe it will be possible for the company to seek a stock market listing relatively quickly - perhaps as early as the end of 1999," comments Christer Dahlström, President of Skandia Investment. Connecta was started five years ago by its President, Christer Jacobsson, formerly President of Enator, among other companies. Connecta now has about 270 employees, mainly consultants in IT.
