Uniti and Smart Eye is teaming up for testing eye tracking features in new electric vehicle
Today the new electric car from Uniti will be shown to the world media. Just like the latest iPhone the Uniti car will introduce Face ID for the ability to read the drivers face and understand the driver - Uniti and Smart Eye are teaming up with the aim to provide the best solution for the driver. Smart Eye is exhibiting the latest in-car tech at Uniti’s launch event today in Landskrona.
Smart Eye’s Driver Monitoring technology and Smart AI solution provides the sensors and technology which supports the introduction of Head up Display with Augmented reality functions, convenience features based on Face ID and safety applications that reads the Driver state and adapts the experience accordingly. The advanced features take advantage of the immense processing power of the SoC, provided by NVIDIA. Smart AI is a platform that supports regular driver monitoring algorithms but also Convolutional Neural Networks aiming at understanding the human on a deep level developed by Smart Eye’s newly formed AI team. Face ID features will make the journey from providing automatic smileys based on facial expression to an exciting near future where the car of the future will have a profound understanding of the driver state, emotions and intentions, for the purpose of improving driver safety and the experience of driving a car.
