LEADING WIND INDUSTRY EXPERT JESSICA JOYCE APPOINTED AS SVP – AMERICAS AT SMART WIRES

Smart Wires Inc., global power technology company, has announced the appointment of Jessica Joyce as Senior Vice President – Americas, to strengthen commercial teams in the US, Canada and South America.

On announcing the appointment, Michael Walsh, Smart Wires Chief Commercial Officer, said “In this exciting phase of our company’s growth, Jessica will be key to driving our continued expansion across North and South America. Jessica’s proven leadership experience, coupled with her extensive expertise and passion for the energy transition, is a huge asset for our teams across the region.”

On joining Smart Wires, Jessica said, “After spending almost 15 years in the wind industry I have seen first-hand just how central the electricity grid is to reaching net zero.”

“There is growing recognition of the need to rapidly increase transmission capacity across the Americas, most recently with the introduction of the CHARGE Act which encourages greater use of grid enhancing technologies and non-transmission alternatives. It’s great to see the excitement building in the grid companies as they focus on new opportunities to deliver modernized, flexible and efficient grids that enable the energy transition.”

Jessica Joyce is an experienced executive with over two decades of leadership experience across the renewable energy and logistics sectors. Jessica joins from Vestas where she spent six years as Director Service Sales. Prior to this, Jessica was VP Sales & Marketing at UpWind Solutions where she drove forward the company’s commercial growth, before the company was integrated into the broader service organization of Vestas.

As a commercial leader, Jessica is committed to developing strong relationships with all stakeholders, and ultimately delivering results that progress the energy transition. Her extensive experience in the wind industry will be incredibly valuable as Smart Wires continues to deliver world-leading power flow control solutions to enable more transfer capacity for renewables and ultimately lower cost clean energy to all consumers.
