SMART WIRES HOSTS AUSTRALIA’S TREASURER, HON. SCOTT MORRISON MP FOR TOUR

Smart Wires was delighted to host Australia’s Treasurer, Hon. Scott Morrison MP, in California for a tour of our R&D center and a discussion around how network businesses can use modular power flow control technology to lower customer electricity bills.  By optimizing the utilization of existing transmission lines, modular power flow control allows utilities to prioritize capital investments and to enable market access for low cost generation resources.  In 2017 TransGrid became the first Australian utility to install a Smart Wires solution (more information on that project here) and Smart Wires is now working with TransGrid and the other network business to deploy further projects across Australia.
