It has been proposed that Södra’s President and CEO Lars Idermark continue in his role as Chairman of Swedbank for an additional year. This was announced in the nomination committee of Swedbank’s proposal to the annual general meeting, which was published on Monday. Lars Idermark is prepared to accept the assignment and has the support of the Board of Directors of Södra.

"As part of the Board’s follow-up of operations during the year, we have observed that Lars Idermark has fulfilled his role as President in an exemplary manner. In recent years, Södra has invested just over SEK 6 billion and is in a strong position. The Board views the role of President of Södra as compatible with the assignment as Chairman of Swedbank. The Board has concluded that Lars Idermark has the necessary capacity and competence to manage both these roles," says Södra’s Chairman Lena Ek.

Lars Idermark assumed the role of President of Södra in 2013.
