Trivselhus President, Mikael Olsson, has informed the Board of Directors that he is to relinquish his position for health reasons. Maria Bergön will succeed him as Interim President and the Board will initiate a recruitment process for a new president.

“Leading Trivselhus has been a fantastic experience. It’s a wonderful and highly capable organisation with enormous commitment. In recent years, we have a had a major focus on strengthening our competitiveness, for example, by increasing productivity, repositioning our brands and developing new house models. We have reviewed our costs and procedures, won quality awards and, not least, initiated the company’s largest investment ever in volume production of housing. For health reasons, I need to ease my workload for an extended period and have therefore chosen to leave my position,” said Mikael Olsson, President of Trivselhus.

Chairman Peter Karlsson will lead the recruitment process for Mikael Olsson’s successor.

“Mikael began as President of Trivselhus in August 2018 and during this time, has shown extensive drive and commitment, as well as laying the foundation for the volume production of housing. I want to take the opportunity to thank Mikael for his fine work in transforming Trivselhus,” said Peter Karlsson, Chairman of Trivselhus.

Mikael Olsson will leave Trivselhus in the summer of 2020 and will subsequently continue to contribute to the development of Trivselhus in the role of senior advisor to the Board. During the recruitment process for a new president of Trivselhus, the position of Interim President will be held by Maria Bergön, who is currently business area controller at Södra Wood.

“I am delighted that Maria Bergön has accepted the assignment of leading Trivselhus during the recruitment process of a new president. It is important to continue developing Trivselhus without losing pace or power of decision,” said Peter Karlsson.

Maria Bergön will combine her position as business area controller for Södra Wood with the role of Interim President.

“Trivselhus is in an exciting period of development, with a great deal of innovative thinking and focus on the future. I look forward to continuing on the path that Mikael and the Trivselhus management team have established,” said Maria Bergön.
