Nomination committee adjusts its proposal to nine board members
The nomination committee has adjusted its proposal for the composition of the board prior to the general meeting and proposes that the board consist of nine members. The reason is that Anna Karin Hatt has chosen to withdraw her candidacy at her own request.
“Anna Karin Hatt has decided to withdraw her candidacy due to an operational assignment that does not allow for active engagement in Södra. The nomination committee’s assessment is that the proposed board composition, with nine members, provides the board with appropriate conditions to fulfil its duties”, says Magnus Johansson, chair of the nomination committee.
Apart from this, the nomination committee’s previous proposal remains unchanged.

Södra was founded in 1938 on the idea that we are stronger together. We are now the largest forest-owner association in Sweden, with more than 50,000 family forest owners as members. Together, the members of Södra own a world-leading industrial operation that processes forest raw material into renewable products such as pulp, timber, building systems, energy and biochemicals. About 3,200 people are employed in our forest industry and in 2025, Södra generated sales of SEK 28 billion. Our products are exported all over the world and together, we are contributing to a more natural way of living. Rooted in the forest, we grow the future.
