Nomination Committee’s proposal to Södra’s 2017 AGM

Södra’s Nomination Committee proposes that Kjell Andersson, Pål Börjesson and Ylva Hammargren be elected as new members of Södra’s Board. The Nomination Committee also proposes that the current Board members, Hans Berggren and Ola Hildingsson, be re-elected. Re-election of Lena Ek as Chairman of the Board is also proposed.

The Nomination Committee’s proposal entails that the number of elected Board members will increase from nine to ten. The Committee proposes that Marie Hallén and Stefan Olsson step down from the Board.

“The proposed candidates have extensive experience in several areas, including industry, innovation and research. The Nomination Committee believes that increased expertise in these areas will further strengthen Södra’s Board,” said Tomas Andersson, Chairman of the Nomination Committee.

Kjell Andersson, born 1950, is a civil engineer and economist with a wide range of experience in various industries, both in Sweden and internationally. He has served as President of Strålfors and of various companies within ABB and Atlas Copco, as well as Technical Director at Sandvik. He has worked in most areas in both industrial and service companies. He currently manages his own forest, and works as a consultant in his own company. Kjell Andersson owns forest estates in the Municipality of Kinda and has been a member of Södra since 2001.

Pål Börjesson, born 1962, is an agronomist and holds a professorship at the Department for Environmental and Energy Systems Studies at the Faculty of Engineering, Lund University. The department studies and highlights energy and environment-related issues from a long-term regional, national and global perspective. Pål Börjesson’s work focuses on how the production and use of bio-based raw materials and products can be increased in a sustainable manner. Pål Börjesson owns a forest estate in Algustorp, Hässleholm, and has been a member of Södra since 1991. He also served as an elected representative at Södra from 1999-2012.

Ylva Hammargren, born 1966, is a civil engineer with broad industry experience in both Sweden and internationally after various roles at SKF for almost 28 years. She has been head of global IT support for customer relationships in the Industrial Sales division since 2012. She has also served as a Board member of the listed Nederman Group since 2011.
