Södra is divesting Trivselhus AB to housing supplier Svensk Husproduktion. The takeover date is 1 March 2021.

Södra’s subsidiary, Trivselhus, is one of the largest house manufacturers in Sweden and sells housing under the Trivselhus brand, and Nordic Ecolabelled houses under the Movehome brand.

“The decision is based on Södra’s strategic direction to focus more on our core business: forest products and services, market pulp and sawn timber, as well as energy and further processing of products and residue flows,” said Peter Karlsson, Chairman of Trivselhus.

Svensk Husproduktion will acquire all of the shares in Trivselhus AB.

“We are convinced that this divestment will be positive for both parties. With another owner, there will be good opportunities to further develop the operations and to strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the housing market,” said Peter Karlsson.
