Reports of fingertip amputations have prompted Kolcraft Enterprises to voluntarily recall 36,000 Contours Options three-and four-wheeled strollers in the United States.

Three children lost their fingertips and two adults suffered lacerations when they came in contact with the hinge mechanism that adjusts the stroller’s handlebars, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada.

Around 270 strollers were also recalled in Canada, according to Health Canada.
