The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced vehicle recalls from luxury car makers Mercedes-Benz USA and BMW of North America.

Mercedes-Benz is recalling some 2007-2009 E350 4MATIC wagons because 3,600 of the vehicles have a load leveling rear suspension system that may fail, according to Consumer Reports. Failure of the system can reduce the driver’s ability to control the vehicle and increases the risk of an accident.

BMW North America is recalling 2,642 of its X5 and X6 SUVs because certain models may leak power steering fluid and a fire in the engine compartment could occur if the liquid comes into contact with hot engine exhaust parts. The NHTSA said the leaking is a result of a “machine error” in the steering gear surface during the production of the BMW X5 and BMW X6 “activity vehicles,” according to Consumer Reports.
