Rigo Recalls Kid’s Boxers and Pants due to Risk of Burn Injury

Rigo International Inc. issued a recall for children’s lounge pants and boxers because of issues with the flammability of the garments, which could led children to experience severe burns.

The recall was issued for about 210,000 Boys and Girls Pull-On Lounge Pants and Girls Boxers, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The items fail to meet federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, leaving children at risk for burns.

Rigo received one report of a garment catching fire and causing severe burns to the front and back of a 9-year-old boy’s legs.

The items were sold exclusively at Academy Sports and Outdoors stores in Texas from January 2010 to March 2011.
