Troxel Recalls Flexible Flyer Swing Sets Due to Fall Risk

The Troxel Co. issued a recall for a swing set because of a fall risk it poses to young children.

The recall was issued for the Flexible Flyer Swing Sets - about 100,500 in the U.S. and 4,900 in Canada - because the see-saw seats can break away from the bolt fasteners during use, posing a fall hazard.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the company received 1,232 complaints of see-saw seats breaking, including 13 reports of injuries to young children that included bumps, bruises, and lacerations.

The products were sold by Walmart, Toys R Us, Academy, and other specialty stores and online retailers from December 2011 through May 2012.
