TAIVÄLJÄRVI SILVER DEPOSIT CONTINUES AT LEAST TO THE DEPTH OF 1 000 METERS WITH LEAST TRIPPLE LENGHT

Sotkamo Silver has conducted two geophysical surveys at Taivaljärvi. One audiomagnetotelluric survey (AMT) and one electromagnetic survey (Gefinex 400S), the latter is also known as the Sampo-method. The aim of the measurements was to investigate the depth-continuation of the Taivaljärvi silver deposit and related conductive structures of the bedrock.

The surveys enchange Sotkamo Silver´s perception, that Taivaljärvi mineralisation extends to at least to 1 000 meters below surface. It has earlier been confirmed that it continues to 550 meters. The EM survey clearly shows that the anomalous region coincides with the geological structure. Results from these methods show that a strong electromagnetic anomaly is situated as a direct continuity of the Taivaljärvi deposit and extends to the depth of 1 000 meters. The Gefinex-survey also shows that the surveyed anomalous region lies between a 600 -1 000 meters level and the strike length of the anomalous area is at least 1 000 meters.

True nature and quality of this geophysical anomaly has to be verified by diamond core- drilling. This is planned for 2013.

“Results of these studies confirm our understanding that the Taivaljärvi silver-deposit continues towards depth and strike, which clearly increases the potential of the mineralization and our expectations of the deposit.” Comments Timo Lindborg, CEO
