SPE's Annual Caspian Technical Conference is going Virtual.
London, UK (23 July 2020) – The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) will hold the 7th edition of its renowned Caspian Technical Conference (CTC) on 21 – 22 October 2020.
During these challenging times we are experiencing, it has never been more important to keep the Caspian oil and gas industry connected. SPE’s Caspian Technical Conference is adapting to a virtual format for the first time and as we head into our seventh year, we will bring you the same high-quality content and inclusive learning experience you'd receive from our in-person event.
The new format will provide a series of interactive technical content opportunities, collaboration experiences including live speaker Q&A's, 1:1 chats and group networking lounges. We will create a professional and friendly virtual environment, where high calibre leaders and experts from the oil and gas industry will analyse the current climate and discuss latest technologies, new developments and first-hand insights in upstream oil and gas.
The unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed a number of challenging issues across governments and industries. During this year’s CTC, the experts will discuss tangible approaches on how oil and gas companies can make organisational, cultural and structural changes, simplifying and localising supply chains, reinventing themselves and putting the purpose and impact at the heart of their activities.
Themed as Competing on a global scale: Creating the right environment, the event will deliver the same high quality peer-reviewed technical programme and you will have access to both live and on-demand content up to 30 days post-event for you to revisit and advance your technical learning.
The virtual format will still offer participants the opportunity to connect and develop professional relationships and interact with forward-thinking executives, during an opening ceremony, Investor and Operator panel discussions, 2 x keynote panels and 12+ technical sessions. All with interactive Q&A's.
The event has the support of a range of leading oil and gas players in the Caspian region, including KMG, TCO, NCOC, ExxonMobil, Chevron, DeGolyer & MacNaughton, Shell and Total.
