Bennett Opie appoints new Production Manager

Fine food producer and distributor Bennett Opie has appointed Helen Wraight as Production Manager. Helen brings over fifteen years’ production experience and her appointment is perfectly timed to support the firm’s plans to double sales over the next five years. 

Helen’s previous roles include time at Katsouris Fresh Foods and Greencore so will be ideally placed to steer the busy production facility. She is also currently studying MSc Food Safety & Quality Management.

Managing Director William Opie added “Helen has a wealth of experience that we will be able to draw from, so we are delighted that she has joined us. A smooth and efficient production facility is vital for a business like ours, especially as we work with all of the major supermarkets.”

Over the next five years Bennett Opie plans to double sales from £25m to £50m and in 2015 invested in a new 4645m² warehouse facility at Sittingbourne in Kent.

Bennett Opie produce a range of products under their own Opies brand. They are also fine food importers and distributors and represent several brands in the UK including Monin, Lingham’s Chilli Sauce, Barry Norman Pickled Onions, Ferns Curry Pastes, Delice de Provence cherries and Clément Faugier chestnuts.
