Cress Co launch Christmas Brochure with over 400 new products and exclusive brands
Fine Food Distributor The Cress Company has officially launched their 2016 Christmas Catalogue which features over 750 ambient and fresh speciality products. The catalogue introduces 29 new suppliers and 400 new lines including exclusive products from Stag Bakeries and Image on Food. Retailers will also benefit from a choice of exclusive brands only available from The Cress Co: Baghi’s Italian bakery, artisan bakers Campbell’s Bakery, Friary Liqueurs, quirky American-inspired confectionery Stateside Treat Emporium, Carved Angel Christmas Puddings, Wild Fig Scottish Preserves and Sam’s Cider.
The ‘Cress-mas’ Catalogue offers retailers a ‘one-stop’ Christmas shop with everything from store-cupboard staples like goose fat, Christmas pickles, bakery, drinks, gifts and confectionery as well as a fresh offer with a choice of fresh Brandy Cream, Smoked Salmon and artisan pies. A dedicated Christmas Cheese brochure featuring artisan cheese from across the British Isles will be available in September.
Nikki Castley, Buyer at The Cress Co said “We’ve carefully sourced products from around the world and brought together what we believe to be our best Christmas collection yet. This year we’ve seen some more unusual additions to the Christmas range such as Liqueur soaked Panettoncino in a glass kilner, Pork Crackling Advent Calendars, a three-course chocolate festive dinner in a chocolate bar and chilled, ready to serve cocktails. We hope to offer retailers inspiration and a point of difference.”
Retailers can pre-order now and to avoid disappointment, bulk orders are requested to be placed by 1stAugust. Unlike many other speciality food distributors, Cress has a minimum order of just £125 within their delivery area, which encompasses most of the UK.

The Cress Co are based in Dunfermline, Fife and distribute ambient and fresh speciality, artisan foods across the UK using their own fleet of dual temperature (ambient/chilled) vehicles. The Cress Co supply a variety of customers which include delis, cafés, farm shops and hotels. The company started in 2004 by Joe Wall. With a 30sqm lock up and a second-hand van Joe worked with five or six Scottish fine food manufacturers who were looking for better distribution throughout Scotland. As the business grew there was increasing interest from other manufacturers who were keen to work with the Cress Co, including those based in England and further afield. The Cress Co. now operates from a 1000sqm unit in Dunfermline and works with hundreds of fine food manufacturers distributing thousands of different products.
