Peter’s Yard provide Chefs a sporting chance to offer the best cheeseboard at corporate events

Chefs at top sporting venues have tackled just how best to serve a cheese course at large corporate functions by using Peter’s Yard crispbread with a wooden serving stand. The award-winning crispbread has a characteristic central hole and presented on an oak serving stand cleverly designed to hold a stack of crispbreads to be shared amongst guests. Not only does this create a dramatic, impressive centerpiece for the cheese course, but it is a quick and practical way for Chefs to serve their biscuits for cheese.

Peter’s Yard crispbread, which was described by judges at the Great Taste Awards 2015 as “the best biscuit for cheese out there” has already found its way onto the corporate tables of premium venues such as Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC and last year debuted in selected boxes at Ascot.

The crispbreads are all natural, made in the UK to a traditional Swedish recipe that uses just five ingredients which include organic whole wheat flours, fresh milk, honey and a naturally fermenting sourdough. The sourdough starter is over 40 years old and is allowed to ferment and bubble for 16 hours before being used to create the iconic crispbread. The crispbreads are high in fibre, no hydrogenated fats, low in salt, completely natural, free from anything artificial and low in calories.

Since launching just a few years ago, Peter’s Yard crispbread has already gained many fans in the restaurant world and is currently served at a wide selection of Michelin restaurants. Martin Wishart is just one of the Michelin starred restauranteurs who chooses to serve the crispbreads with cheese at his acclaimed restaurant. Valentine Warner has said “Peter’s Yard sourdough crispbreads are one of my favourite foods. I love them with gravadlax”. Phil Fanning, Chef at Michelin starred restaurant Paris House said “I can say from the bottom of my heart as a true cheese lover there is no better vehicle for eating cheese that Peter’s Yard rye crispbreads. It’s as simple as that!” whilst Will Holland states “Serve Peter’s Yard crispbreads with cheese – it’s the law!” And, food writer Signe Johansen describes Peter’s Yard crispbreads as “the best crispbreads on the planet”.

Peter’s Yard original recipe crispbread has enviable credentials: a 3 star award winner and named as a Top 50 food at the 2015 Great Taste Awards, the crispbreads have also been named ‘number one’ crispbread in the UK by The Times in a review of taste and nutrition.
