Green-tech innovator Spowdi will participate at the United Nation’s high-level climate change conference, COP28. The summit is set to take place from November 30 to December 12 in Dubai, UAE.

Spowdi joins as part of Sweden’s official business delegation. The delegation, led by Business Sweden, consists of companies and actors that are leaders in the green transition, and aims to foster innovative solutions that are important for the climate agenda.

“Spowdi's focus at COP28 is the implementation of innovative, green-tech solutions for over 500 million of small-hold farmers. This includes finance, last-mile distribution and above all, a change of mindset. We are in the agricultural business, and I am convinced that with our technology we can create millions of successful and sustainable entrepreneurs. But we can't do this on our own. There is no better platform than COP28 for coming together with partners, peers, and government agencies enabling positive change,” says Henrik Johansson, CEO of Spowdi.

"Science speaks its clear language – global emissions must be almost halved by 2030 for us to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees. Sweden is at the forefront of the transition, and Swedish companies have solutions that can help accelerate the transition worldwide," says Mattias Frumerie, Sweden’s Chief Negotiator for COP28.

One-third of our global food is produced by small-hold farmers making them crucial stakeholders to the food production system. Creating conditions to enable access to innovation, can enable millions of small-hold farmers to increase their harvest with significantly less water, be more profitable, and have better livelihoods.
