On the 13th and 14th of May SSAB invites you to take part in inspiring seminars and demonstrations of the use of high strength steel products. The seminars will take place in the Swedish Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai.

For two days SSAB CEO Olof Faxander and SSAB APAC President Martin Pei will join forces with the top engineers to give you a glimpse of how Chinese companies can benefit from using value added high strength steel. “We wish to share our knowledge of steel with the Chinese market. I am sure that there are many mutually beneficial co-operations to be established,” says SSAB CEO Olof Faxander. In the Swedish pavilion in Shanghai, on the 13th and 14th of May, you will meet the top management of SSAB. You will also be able to participate in three technical seminars at which SSAB’s experts will show how SSAB products offer improvements for the automotive industry, the construction industry, lifting and mining, to give just a few examples. Guests will also get a chance to experience high strength steel in live interactive demonstrations. The Swedish pavilion, built to showcase the Swedish Spirit of Innovation, is also an example of SSAB’s engineering ingenuity. The pavilion is constructed using a new kind of steel called Prelaq Energy. “Prelaq Energy is one of our value added steels. It reduces energy consumption in a building by up to 15 percent. It is one example of how innovation can help build a better world,” says APAC President Martin Pei. The seminars start in the morning with a general introduction to SSAB and the company’s activities in China by SSAB CEO Olof Faxander and SSAB APAC President Martin Pei. The afternoon is dedicated to a closer look at the benefits of high strength value added steel in different applications. The moderator on both days is the TV celebrity and entrepreneur Johan Björkstén.
