SSAB first carbon steel supplier in AutoForm’s Material Database

AutoForm´s software solutions for die design and sheet metal forming simulation is a world leading tool for automotive industry. Since advanced high strength steels are becoming more common in vehicles, AutoForm now includes material data for a number of advanced high strength steels from SSAB.

SSAB is the first carbon steel supplier being present in AutoForm´s database. This will provide the automotive industry rapid access to accurate forming data of SSAB’s advanced steel grades. Among SSAB’s advanced high strength steels are hot-rolled, cold-rolled and zinc coated steel grades.

Today, over 2500 users in more than 500 companies in 40 countries around the world use AutoForm’s software in their key engineering and manufacturing operations. Virtually every automotive OEM and leading suppliers of tooling, stamping and materials worldwide use the AutoForm software solutions.

SSAB material data is already available in ready-to-run binary mtb-format on the AutoForm website http://www.autoform.com/services/material.html and integrated in the next release of AutoForm software scheduled Q2 2009.
