SSC initiate new service to the China Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth, RADI

SSC and RADI (The Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth), under China Academy of Science (CAS), has signed a contract regarding services to be provided by SSC utilizing the new RPSS-1 antenna installed by SSC at SSC’s satellite station at Esrange Space Center.

The service agreement between RADI and SSC supports data reception for scientific purposes,  focusing domains such as climate change, agriculture development and societal planning as well as being an important part of rapid disaster relief capability.

The RPSS-1 antenna was inaugurated on the 15 December and the service will be initiated on the 1 January 2017.
