Azane Inc, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of low charge ammonia refrigeration solutions, will exhibit at the GCCA’s Global Cold Chain Expo later this month. Showcasing their innovative low charge ammonia refrigeration solutions for R22 replacement, phasing down of HFCs and ammonia charge reduction, the company will provide delegates with information on their groundbreaking Azanechiller and Azanefreezer.

Caleb Nelson, VP Business Development at Azane will be on the stand, demonstrating how their recent developments can transform the natural refrigeration market. Discussing their attendance, Caleb said, “The Expo is one of the highlights in the cold chain calendar. Bringing together an abundance of experts within the sector, it provides a unique learning and networking opportunity for all involved.”

“We will be on-hand to discuss recent projects for Hato Rey Plastics in Puerto Rico, an installation for a Campbell’s Soup facility in Ohio, and a unit in design/development for a ConAgra facility. We’ll talk visitors through the latest developments on low charge ammonia, which are set to change the way in which refrigeration end-users choose among different cooling and freezing solutions from manufacturers.”

Proven to offer over 95% reduction in ammonia charge and up to 25% lower energy bills as compared to its HFCs and Freon counterparts, Azane’s natural ammonia units, the Azanechiller and the Azanefreezer, will be presented to attendees who are looking to safeguard their business against incumbent environmental legislation to ban the use of R22 and phase down synthetic refrigerants with high global warming potential (GWP).

Suitable for a wide range of applications including food and drink production, HVAC, cold storage and distribution, data centers, ice rinks, process and catering for both commercial and industrial sizes, the zero GWP ammonia units achieve charges as low as 2lbs of ammonia per ton of refrigeration, which is significantly lower than the OSHA's Process Safety Management and EPA RPM threshold limit of 10,000 lbs of ammonia, and is not listed in federal and national emphasis programs.

The Global Cold Chain Expo is described as a “one-stop-shop” for innovation, education and business-to-business networking for the global food industry cold chain. With delegates attending from all over the world, the Expo is one of a kind and provides a unique opportunity to learn, network and share ideas.

Taking place between June 20-22 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, the Expo will attract around 15,000 key decision makers from the retail, foodservice, processing, production, distribution, logistics and transportation industries, with attendees representing frozen, refrigerated, ambient and fresh operations.
