Starbreeze AB announces changes in group management to further strengthen strategic and commercial focus

As part of accelerating Starbreeze's adopted strategy for long-term growth, the company has hired Egil Strunke as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), to be part of the company's group management and report directly to CEO Tobias Sjögren. Egil Strunke comes most recently from his own business, Strunke Games, and has previously, among other things, been Chief Operations Officer (COO) at Embracer Group AB, Nordic sales director at 20th Century Fox, held several leading roles at Nordic Games, business area manager for games at Pan Vision and country manager for Electronic Arts Sweden.

Petra Takeva, VP Franchising, leaves the group management but remains in her role as VP Franchise, responsible for expanding Starbreeze’ brands, including PAYDAY, to more media and platforms and will report directly to the CSO, Egil Strunke.

As of today, Starbreeze's group management team consists of Tobias Sjögren, CEO, Mats Juhl, CFO, Fredrik Malmqvist, VP Studio, Staffan Nyström, VP Publishing, Hanna Falk, acting VP Human Resources and Egil Strunke, CSO.
