E-Mobility Europe: An Overview of Europe’s Latest Electric Vehicles Data
The IEA (International Energy Agency) Global EV Outlook report recorded around 600 electric cars sold in Europe in 2010, but by 2020, that number had risen to over 1 million units. In 2021, Europe saw an even greater boost in the adoption rate of electric cars, with sales reaching almost 1.7 million units, a 50% increase from the previous year. This led to a significant increase in EV market share, rising from 10.7% to 17.8% in just one year.Between 2016 and 2021, EV sales in Europe grew at an impressive 61% year-to-year rate, making it the region with the highest growth rate in the world.
