Stena Line to sound its horns to support seafarers on 1 May

At noon on 1 May all Stena Line vessels will sound their horns to show support for seafarers around the world. More than 1.6 million men and women are keyworkers in keeping vital supply lines open between countries during the pandemic COVID-19.

“Stena Line plays an important part in the European logistic network and onboard our ferries our customers transport vital goods such as medicines and supplies for healthcare, as well as fresh food for supermarket shelves. Therefore, we want to highlight the important work undertaken by our key worker seafarers, our colleagues onboard our vessels, in these challenging times”, says Erik Lewenhaupt, Head of Sustainability , Brand  & Communication at Stena Line Group.

Stena Line is currently operating 30 ferries on 18 routes across Europe, supporting societies and keeping vital supply lines open 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the pandemic.
