The Port of Immingham is of great strategic importance to Stena Line and we will aim to build on the success we have seen in the unaccompanied freight market. This is a long-term commitment for us and will be integral to expanding our freight operations on our routes between the UK and Continental Europe to serve demand.
Following our signing of the Birkenhead 12 Quays deal earlier this year, this agreement reenforces our long-term commitment to Peel Ports Group and further strengthens our partnership. Heysham is an important hub for our Irish Sea business and we’ve been developing our operations here year on year.

It is with a heavy heart we have reached the point, where we have to discontinue our route between Sweden and Finland. This has been a very difficult decision, but after considering all aspects we are convinced that we have made the right decision.

Transporting passengers and freight in the Baltic Sea region for almost a decade now, we keep constant track of our customers’ needs and demand, and are delighted to improve our customers’ experience. Compared to ferries that previously operated the route, Stena Scandica and Stena Baltica provide 30% more freight capacity and 70% more cabin space, more extensive leisure options, and a more pleasant travel experience on our vessels and routes to and from Latvia.
