Many people today interpret sustainability communications from companies as attempts to sell advertising. This is according to Stena Recycling’s recent report Circular Voice. To increase consumer trust, companies should provide more information about their sustainability efforts and at the same time be better at admitting mistakes. Stena Recycling AS proudly announces the launch of Europe’s first complete and scalable value chain for the reuse and recycling of electric car batteries. Stena Recycling awarded for wind turbine blade circularity solution

Stena Recycling, in cooperation with Olin Corporation, Vestas Wind Systems, Aarhus University, and Danish Technological Institute, has been recognized with 2024 Global Innovation Award by JEC Composites in the Renewable Energies category. The group is rewarded for having developed a solution that enables the recycling of materials from wind turbine blades on a lab scale. Today Stena Recycling inaugurated its first industrial recycling facility for lithium-ion batteries, an investment of a quarter of a billion SEK. It is situated in south of Sweden and one of the first industry scale battery recycling facilities in Europe.
