STOREBRAND ASA: Clarification on outstanding tax case

Report this content

Reference is made to the stock exchange announcement dated 13 December 2023 where Storebrand informed that the Ministry of Finance had issued a subpoena against the Tax Appeals Committee (Skatteklagenemda) decision in favor of Storebrand in the tax case concerning whether group contributions should reduce the tax value of shares for Storebrand Life Insurance.

The Ministry of Finance has in a pleading from the Attorney General for Civil Affairs (Regjeringsadvokaten) dated 15th March 2024 stated that it will not argue that the subpoena includes indirect group contributions. As Storebrand Life Insurance’s tax case is mainly related to indirect group contributions, this clarification means that the majority of the case is finally settled.

There is no new information that provides grounds for changes in the company's accounts.
