Vestland County Chooses Storebrand as New Pension Provider

Storebrand will be the new provider of public occupational pensions for Vestland County, a contract that includes more than 11 000 current and former employees and an expected transfer of NOK 3.7bn in assets. The contract will be transferred to Storebrand at the turn of the year.

– This is an important milestone for us in Storebrand. We are very pleased to have provided the best offer on public occupational pensions, and we promise to work hard to ensure that Vestland and all their employees are satisfied with their pension scheme, says Storebrand's CEO Odd Arild Grefstad.

Vestland County's pension scheme was put on tender after the merger of the two former counties Sogn og Fjordane and Hordaland in January this year. It is the first county to switch provider from KLP to Storebrand. Recent pension reforms triggered Storebrand to enter the market for public occupational pensions last year.
