Important milestone has been reached by Svenska Aerogel in the collaboration with world-leading producer within the process industry
Since mid-2022, Svenska Aerogel has had a collaboration agreement with a world-leading producer within the process industry with the aim of optimizing the use of Quartzene® in the customer’s product. A third of the project has now been completed with very good results, and thus an important first milestone has been reached by Svenska Aerogel.
The agreement between Svenska Aerogel and the customer includes funding of a joint development plan. The development plan consists of three work packages, the first of which has now been completed. Svenska Aerogel is proceeding with the second work package, and the customer has the option to call for the third work package later on.

By being able to optimize Quartzene® for the customer’s product, the customer will be able to meet its production needs for continued expansion on the world market. Svenska Aerogel’s unique and sustainable production process and the company’s geographic location in Europe have been fundamentals reasons for the customer’s choice of partner.
Svenska Aerogel commits to supplying 30 tons of Quartzene® per year during the pilot phase. As volumes are expected to increase during the expansion phase, the parties intend to produce Quartzene® in the customer’s facility with Svenska Aerogel’s module solution. Tor Einar Norbakk, CEO, has previously referred to the collaboration agreement as one of the most important commercialization steps in Svenska Aerogel’s history.
