Svenska Aerogel continues to receive pilot orders – new order from European insulation manufacturer
Svenska Aerogel has received another pilot order, this time for 360 kg of Quartzene® from a European manufacturer of insulation materials. Following the recent announcements of pilot orders from two other customers, Svenska Aerogel continues its trend of larger customer projects entering the pilot phase.
After positive results from laboratory tests, where Quartzene® was incorporated into their advanced insulation material, the customer is now ready to verify the results in full scale production. This requires a much larger volume compared to the laboratory tests. The pilot order is a crucial step towards the permanent use of Svenska Aerogel’s material in the customer’s application.
Svenska Aerogel has previously informed that the typical pilot orders range between 50–150 kg. The pilot orders received from various customers during the spring of 2024 have all been significantly larger than the usual range, demonstrating the customers’ large production facilities.

This particular customer application is more consumer-oriented, unlike our main customer segments. This clearly demonstrates the versatility of the material.
