Svenska Aerogel meets increased demand for Quartzene®
The production plant in Gävle has increased the capacity significantly and Svenska Aerogel is ready to meet the growing demand for Quartzene®.
New equipment has been installed and the capacity has increased from about 3 tonnes / year up to 25-50 tonnes / year, depending on the variant of Quartzene®.
The timing is absolutely right in a situation where order volumes increase while the previous equipment reached the maximum capacity. The volumes produced up to date has mainly been designed for customer orders of Quartzene® for laboratory and pilot tests. With the new equipment in place Svenska Aerogel can ensure deliveries for the near future. The production process is very flexible and this is another step forward to a fullscale production plant in Gävle.

A number of positive technical results have been reported, and volumes of test material is steadily increasing. Svenska Aerogel is a R&D company in materials technology that have been developing and now commercializes Quartzene® for various applications; primary Insulation, Paint & Coatings, and Filtration. Quartzene® is a material produced with a flexible, environmentally friendly and very cost effective method.
