Svenska Aerogel’s sustainability work is ISO 26000 verified – becomes the first Swedish listed company to be verified
Svenska Aerogel continues to develop its sustainability work. Now the company has become the first Swedish listed company to be verified according to ISO 26000, an international standard focusing on corporate social responsibility (CSR). The verification has been carried out by an accredited third party, VERIFY Agency of Sweden, which has reviewed Svenska Aerogel’s sustainability work as well as the self-declaration of the work.

“The work that led to the ISO verification of our sustainability processes complements our already certified and standardized way of working. This external recognition is important for us because it shows that our long-term, systematic work with sustainability is bearing fruit and that our employees, customers, investors, and authorities can have trust in our sustainability focus.”
The verification is a result of Svenska Aerogel’s intensified sustainability work over the past year. During 2022, Svenska Aerogel integrated sustainability into its business strategy, with the support of the consultancy VATI of Sweden. VATI of Sweden has educated Svenska Aerogel about sustainability and has conducted several workshops together with the company. Based on this process, Svenska Aerogel has mapped how the company’s value chain affects the UN’s global goals and has selected three of these goals to focus on in the future sustainability work. The selection of goals was based on where Svenska Aerogel has the most influence and the greatest opportunity to contribute to a positive change.
