Canada's largest airline, Air Canada, will establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with two direct routes, one of which is a new destination – Montreal – on June 12th as of next year. Operating direct routes to Toronto and Montreal five times a week, Air Canada will be an important addition to Stockholm Arlanda, connecting the Swedish capital with Canada as well as the North American market.

Air Canada, as a founding member of Star Alliance and as the largest provider of scheduled passenger services on the domestic and international market to and from Canada, will establish at Stockholm Arlanda Airport with two direct routes as of June 12th next year. The two routes will not only serve as an important connection to the distinguished cities of Montreal and Toronto but also as an important connection to the whole of Canada and North America.

- There is a great confidence in the Swedish air travel market, and Air Canadas investment in direct routes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport is a clear sign of this. Air Canada will play an important role in connecting Stockholm to well-established markets in Canada, as well as North America and the rest of the world, says Jonas Abrahamsson, president and CEO of Swedavia. Swedavia’s main goal is to increase the connectivity and Air Canadas vast network facilitates for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends, says he.

- We continue our strategy of building international scale at our Toronto and Montreal global hubs and we are very pleased to deepen Air Canada’s longstanding presence in Northern Europe with the addition of flights to Stockholm. Toronto and Montreal are the third and fourth largest trans-Atlantic gateways, and we continue strengthening our hubs’ reach with our increased services to Scandinavia, says Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada.

-Toronto and Montreal have been strategically developed to facilitate convenient connections throughout Air Canada’s extensive North American network and, with non-stop Dreamliner flights to Stockholm, we offer customers choice and ease while travelling between North America and Sweden’s capital city for business development, tourism, or visiting friends and family. Together with our added capacity to Copenhagen, we will operate up to 17 weekly flights this summer from Toronto and Montreal to Stockholm and Copenhagen. We look forward to welcoming customers onboard our flights, concludes Mr Galardo.

Starting on June 12th 2024, Air Canada will operate Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Toronto (YYZ) route two times a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, until the end of the summer schedule. The Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Montreal (YUL) route will be operated three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, until the end of the summer schedule.

Both routes will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, seating 255 passengers featuring three cabins of service for customers to choose from, including Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
