Scandinavian Airlines continues to grow at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and will launch a new route this winter to Oulu, Finland. In addition, SAS will increase the number of departures to popular European destinations and double the number of weekly departures to Miami from Stockholm. SAS will also start operating a direct route from Göteborg Landvetter Airport to Berlin four times weekly.

This winter, SAS will launch non-stop service from Stockholm Arlanda to Oulu, which is the fourth largest city in Finland. Along with its proximity to the unique nature of northern Finland, the city is a gateway to urban culture, modern business and technology. SAS will start operating the direct route on 5th November.

In addition to the new direct route, SAS also announced an increase in the number of departures to many European destinations from Stockholm Arlanda. SAS will maintain and even increase its departures from Stockholm Arlanda to Alicante and Lisbon, while doubling the number of weekly flights to Miami. The airline will fly to Tromsö, Norway, up to five times a week while also increasing the number of departures to Turku.

In addition, SAS is launching a non-stop service from Göteborg Landvetter Airport to Berlin which will be operated four times weekly from 28th October.

“We are very pleased that SAS continues to invest in our two largest airports in Sweden with new routes as well as expanded service. This really meets the demand from both our business and leisure travellers,” says Elizabeth Axtelius, Aviation Business Director at Swedavia.

“We are delighted that the routes and products we offer are being so well received and enabling us to boost our winter program by continuing to operate routes and increase the number of departures. We are also pleased to be able to establish additional new routes”, says Rickard Gustafson, President & CEO at SAS.
