Nordic Kitchen & Bar is now opening at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. With a menu and a design that puts the Nordic and Scandinavian in focus, and with star chef Michael Spiridon at the helm, the restaurant hopes to take travellers by storm.

Restaurant Nordic Kitchen & Bar has a view out of the ordinary. Through the high glass sections that go from floor to ceiling, there is a front row seat to be able to see all the aircraft taking off and landing. The interior of the restaurant and bar has a clear Nordic material palette with a light colour scheme and the menu is also characterised by Nordic flavours mixed with food with a more international touch.

At Nordic Kitchen & Bar, the focus is on locally produced food. The food served is sustainable for both humans, animals and nature and no artificial additives are used in the cooking. The person who will ensure that the food is of the promised quality is star chef Michael Spiridon, who will be head chef at Nordic Kitchen & Bar. Michael has a long background in the industry, from Michelin-starred restaurants such as Gässlingen and Michel Bras to many reputable restaurants. In recent years, Michael has been Executive Chef at the Brasserie Group and has been involved in starting up the restaurant Pas d'art.

Nordic Kitchen & Bar will strengthen the presence of the Nordic region and Scandinavia at the airport. The menu will be characterised by Nordic and Scandinavian flavors, but the commercial design will also be in the tones and timber that are typically Scandinavian, a design that we Swedes are often proud of.

“We are pleased to welcome Nordic Kitchen & Bar to Stockholm Arlanda and we hope that they will take the position as the obvious destination for passengers who want to experience Nordic cuisine in a Scandinavian environment," says Charlotte Ljunggren, director of marketing and sales at Swedavia.

RC Café & Pâtisserie is a family-owned business that was founded in 2002 in Sigtuna by Charlotta Söör and Ronny Latva. RC has been at Arlanda since 2013 and since 2015 the brothers Joakim and Niklas Blomquist have also been co-owners. Today, there are a total of four RC cafés at Arlanda, the Indochine restaurant in gate area C and the newly opened Bon Bon Glacerie at the Marketplace in Terminal 5.

"Our goal is to create added value at the airport, where we want to offer a unique taste experience, with an efficient and personal service to all travellers on their journey. We want to be the natural and welcoming meeting place for all travellers at Stockholm Arlanda. Guests shall be able to enjoy a warm, well-cooked meal for the whole family. We are very excited and look forward to meeting all travellers in our new restaurant Nordic Kitchen & Bar at Marketplace in Terminal 5," says Charlotta Söör, founder and co-owner of RC Café & Pâtisserie and Nordic Kitchen & Bar.

Nordic Kitchen & Bar is one of seven units opening in the second part of the Marketplace.
